Player Ratings

Post by hack153 »

when creating players what would be a rating for the average speed of a running back? what would be the minimum? what would be the maximum?

this is a good question for all positions and the ratings that go with them.

you would think it hard for a RB who has a speed rating of 50 to be average. to me, 88-90 would be average and low 80's would be the min's. where do you cut ratings off and how high is too high?

also, what rating determines a defensive players tackling abilities?

just a couple things i was thinking about. any responses would be greatly apprecitated.

I think that all players (no matter the position) have the same average Performance Numbers and etc.

I would wish for the opposite; however, sounds to complicated for FB Games. If possible, then must be established by the the average speed performance number, for each position's entire players, and etc.

Tackle and break tackle are essentially "derived ratings", meaning that those skills are functions of multiple base stats.  It's how the game was designed...it would have been nice to have those ratings as an additional measure of a players skill, but its not there, so it does no good to complain about it.  I don't know the exact formula for derived skills, but I'm sure someone else can.

I reiterate...don't waste time complaining about something that won't be changed at this point, just stick to answering the original poster's questions.

GW -

I wasn't talking to you in that post...you need to quit assuming every post is directed toward you.

I do have a valid point though.  I'm sick of posts going way off topic because a few people keep hijacking threads - usually people who don't own the game and need to get their two cents in every time or people who keep asking the same question repeatedly because they didn't get the answer they like the first time.
