BallPark/Weather effects

Post by HuachucaThunder »

I have a minor question here incorporating the replay here. I realize the yearly and career stats have a lot to do in the game replay, but are things like the weather and ballpark effects factored in. I mean, KG mentioned something in another post about still being April and cold in many of the areas that have teams. Does this actually have a relevance to this game and to pitching performances and also the hitting performances?

Just wondering.

Be well

I don't know how large an effect the ballpark/weather factors play, but if you've managed games, you occasionally see text messages on deep flyballs such as "the wind kept that one in the park" or "that would be a home run in most ballparks".

So, yes, these things DO affect play results.

Weather and park dimensions, and park altitude play a huge role.
