Bug....

Post by our_kid123uk »

Hi i have CCII and it happens on all the oother demos and on my old spec PC.

When i order my units to attack right up close with enemy when they are moving toward them and they get close they seem to put there guns above there head (not the problem) but they then jump forward. It is as if the game is skipping. The units jump about a cm forward on screen??

Any ideas? Will this be solved in re-release?

Many Thanks,

Andy.

It is not a bug. You need more RAM.

It sounds possibly like a graphics driving issue?  The original releases of Close Combat do not like newer rigs, especially XP and Accerelerated Grahics.  When you say 'Old spec PC' you are still talking about a system well in advance of what CC was designed for...

We have re-engineered Cross of Iron to be more friendly with XP/DirectX/Accelerated GFX Adapters etc.  Whether this would fix your problem?  Not sure to be honest.

You have al the latest drivers (DirectX, Gfx Adapter etc...?)

You may need to have Compatibility mode set to Win95 or 98, Disable DirectDraw, Reduce Hardware Acceleration... any or all or none of these may make a difference.  There's *loads* of discussion about Close Combat on XP on the CSO Forums... just visit and do a search...
