orders delay vs distance

Is the $subj actually working ? I've never noticed any difference in order delay no matter if I am close to the HQ or on the other side of the map.

I take it "$subj"  = subject and hence your initial sentence reads Is orders delay v distance actually working. In which case the answer should be yes. When you say you haven't noticed, what exactly are you referring to. Have you based your observation on the unit logs or on the Commander tab view. The orders delay values in the Cmd Tab view are indicative only. They don't factor distance in at all. However, it is factored in when they actually process orders.

So the actual delay period can vary. The only real way to track this is to note the time you gave an order and then record the time in the respective unit logs as the orders are received down the chain of command.

I try to be more specific, I just did another test.

- Tutorial 1, Allied, order delay Painfully realistic
- order onmap boss (19th Aus bde HQ), defend in-situ
- order A coy 2/8 move north to the river
- order B coy 2/4 move a little bit closer to the Bde HQ.
- speed up until D2 10:00, when A coy is in place and well rested, pause game
- order both detached coys to move (A coys shows Unit delay 63, B coy 68)
- A coy starts moving at 11:05
- B coy starts moving at 11:09

Is this how it is supposed to work ?
