RE: Early November 1862
I'm in South Carolina for Thanksgiving with the family this week. We're heading home to Atlanta tomorrow. I'll likely get in late in the evening and then take and post my turn Sunday.

OK... back at it again!
Time is a bit tight, so there won't be quite as much editorializing as normal. (And with how things are going, for that I truly am thankful!)
As always, the event report...
Sieges...

Note what a difference the "excellent" artillery advantage made above. I wish I had strong siege artillery with all of these sieges - it would have made a big difference. Instead, they are progressing rather slowly.
A few small battles.... and we didn't get the best of them. Kicked out of Nashville...again... so much for the progress we were making. And out Navy appears to have been overwhealmed. Ooops. That shouldn't happen but I've been ignoring it completely.

Reinforcements - same as always. Made some progress on diplomacy. And the governor election results are finally in.

Battle reports.
The purists should note the small battle in Jackson. Though I won, I suffered more casualties. This report seems to show only the battle casualties (while the event report above includes the retreat losses).
Lost some weapons in Nashville - though nothing I can't live without.

And the last of the battle reports for the final skirmishes. Aparently there was little to no actual combat in either.

RE: Early November 1862
Looking at Nashville, the bigger issue is that he slipped a light division into Hatchie to cut my supply lines. That's really bad since it is now winter and movement slows way down.

RE: Early November 1862
The siege on Jackson continues. That will be fine through the winter, but I need to deal with the continuing supply situation.

The siege in Tallahassee struggles on. Without artillery, the swamps are pretty harsh on the troops.

And in the east, the phony war continues.

RE: Early November 1862
I didn't bother to grab a screen cap, but I lowered the supply of several armies (especially AoP) for the winter to lower support costs and generate some cash. British and European diplomacy will both inch up just a bit.

With my spare iron and horses, I'll build another mint and another camp. I could do more if I had more labor.

RE: Early November 1862
I want to retake hatchie, but with Winter movement rules enabled movement is slowed across the map during December and January. Since he has a very light force, I'll try sending my divisions from Keyes' army separately. If just one of them makes it, I should be able to retake it and I stand a better chance of having someone get there by allowing them to each try independently.

And that's it... Looking forward to getting 1862 behind me. Though it won't be much kinder than this last year unless I can start focusing on building my forces instead of fighting his guerilla war.

What about naval combat? What 12 ships did you loose? Is there a naval forces screen?

When you may get the chance tomorrow could you elaborate on the naval aspects of the turn?
