This AAR is off limits to KDonovan, ctangus, and Scott1964

House Rules
Stacking Limits
- no more than 50 aircraft per airfield size (float planes, patrol planes don't apply)
- doesn't apply too..Tokyo, Osaka, Karachi, Pearl Harbor, San Fran (staging areas)
- no more than 450 aircraft per carrier hex (represents a level 9 AF) (float planes, patrol planes don't apply)

Political Points
- no moving Kwantung army units out of Manchuria without paying PP
- no moving non-SEAC chinese units out of China without paying PP
- both of these restrictions include aircraft (AVG doesn't apply)

TF Limitations
- no more than 6 ships in a ASW TF
- no more than 6 PT boats in TF (max is 2 TF's per hex)

1st Turn rules
- only two port attacks by Japan
- no CV hunting on 1st turn by japan, in return allied CV's won't interfere with PH raid
- KB strike will be redone if rained out on 1st day (if the 2nd day is rain out..too bad)
- no warp 1st turn landings (be realistic)
- allies can only give orders to ships at sea, and Chinese units (but not AVG)

Misc Rules
- no other ships allowed in PT Boat TF except when transferring
- no commando sub raids to gain intel
- russia must be activated 1 month prior to attack
- no training on "supply" to gain experience\
- no upgrading 2E to 4E bombers unless they historically did so

Turn 1 moves for 1EyedJacks:

KB is attacking PH. CAP is @ 70% to protect KB and the replenishment TF (both are in the same hex - 114,70). TBs will attack the port and DBs will conduct naval attacks with airfield attacks as their 2ndary mission. Both KB and the replenishment TF are set to Patrol as I'm sure I'll need 2 days (and possibly 4 days) to really put a spank on PH.

Mini-KB will actually form @ 45,52 which is just east of Lamon Bay. They are conducting a port attack on Manila plus providing air support for the invasion of Naga by the 16th SAA INF DIV. I added 5 BBs to this hex to provide AAA coverage as the fighters are all Claudes...
Manila will also get hit by Betties and Nells from Formosa that are prepped to attack the port. I really-really want to hurt those ships and cut down on the allies running supplies/oil/fuel out of the PI.

I plan on setting up San Fernando and Legaspi as my primary airfields for the region of the Philippine Isles and will move units from Formoso and Japan to support this.

For the attack of Wake Isle I added the 51st Naval Guard to TF16. The 51st already has Future Objective (FO) set @ Wake Isle 100% so this is a no-brainer. I want Wake. I will be moving AA, ENG, and INF units from Japan plus supplies/fuel to Wake also. Oh yeah, There's a CD unit @ Takao - the 1st Coastal Gun unit - that will goto Wake also (that should provide a fun surprise for the allies).

The Fast Transport out of Kwajalein has been reassigned to invade Tarawa.

I thought about moving additional air and naval units to the area of Hong Kong to pounce on the transport ships that will flee Hong Kong but that feels gamey for turn 1 so I'm just providing assignments to units already in that area until next turn.

The 56th SAA INF Div out of Fukuoka Japan has their FO set for Kuantan, Malaya @ 100% but there are not enough transport ships in that port to get that unit to Walkerd on turn 1. I've set up a couple of transport TFs to goto Fukuoka and then Walkerd can tell me where to ship the unit to. TFs of APs have also been sent to Shanghai and Kagoshima to begin moving additional LCUs on the next turn.

8 AKs have been sent in for conversions on this turn also - 2AE, 2AR, 2AS, and 2MLE.

I also made some light changes to production and will tweak some more as new turns arrive. I plan light bumps to Armament, Vehicles, engines, naval ship points, and ship repair and some air frame types - zeroes, kates, betties, and oscars 4 sure.

Take the PI ASAP with the primary push coming from Legaspi/Naga
Eliminate as much shipping as possible @ Manilia and Hong Kong
Put a severe dent on BBs @ Peal Harbor - sink as many as I can
Backdoor Borneo from the south while Walkerd taps it from the north
Take Wake as a forward base and prep for Midway...
Move units to Bangkok/Malaya for Walkerd
Set up a "shell" of outer bases in the Pacific and begin building bases
Tighten up production and set up early deployment of carriers from shipyards while we can still use them

Darren - are you using your paratroopers in Hainan? I could move the 1st and 3rd Yokosuka SNLF units from Tachu in the Formosa Isles to beef up para operations. There are a lot of good targets in China that we could go for. Another option might be to move the para units from Hainan to Formosa and go4 Wenchow?

And if you don't have plans for the Para units do you mind if I borrow them to leap-frog the isles of the Philippines? I have enough other LCUs that paratroops are not a neccessity; I'd recommend only using the para-units in the PI if we don't have them slated for other targets.

I was looking @ Wenchow, as an example, and it looks like it has 1 small Chinese LCU in it... I'll steal the paratroopers 4 awhile and go after some of the Isles in the Philippines. Just lemme know if/when you need them back - lol.

I hate the fast transport from Kwajalain. Because fast it is not. I load up a SNLF unit on 2 small AP's and have them hit Tarawa on turn 1.

Alrighty then.

I've made some additional changes to production, additions to Hvy Ind, Naval Ship points, Nakajima Engines, Armament, and Vehicles. I changed out the Ida DBs to Zeroes which lets me change production over from Hatachi to Nakajimas - another 120.

TFs @ Shanghai are taking Burma units (33rd and 31st Div) to Bangkok and the 4th to San Fernando.

Units @ Legaspi, Naga, Aparri, and Vigan have received orders for direct attacks.

The TFs @ Batan (90 & 92) have been combined into TF90 and the LCUs are reloading to hit Laoag.

Mini-KB TFs has been reformed under TF3 and are heading to Takao for air unit upgrades and refueling.

TF35 (1AV 2 PG) @ Takao are running west to hunt for enemy TFs fleeing from Hong Kong. TF8 (2DD) from Pescadores are doing the same thing.

Notes on FPs...
Glens have GV=4, NR=2, Payload=2 X 30GP
Dave have GV=4, NR=3, Payload= 2 X 30GP
Petes have GV=6, NR=4, Payload= 2 X 60GP
Jakes have GV=2, NR=6, Payload= 2 X 100GP
Alfs have Gv=6, NR=4, Payload= 4 X 30GP

So I like the Jakes for their payload and will start cutting back on production of other airframes - normal range of 6 and 2 X 100GP bombs will be fair for hunting Transport TFs.

Notes on DBs...
Anns and Idas can convert to Marys and Marys can convert to Lilys and Lilys can convert to Helens which have a GV of 14, armor of 1, and a fair payload and range. I've increased the production rate of Helens...

KB and company are moving south of Hawaii and will get in another 2-day attack @ PH. After that they will probably retire to Kwajalein - I expect their number of sorties will be too low for a third 2-day turn - lol.

LCU @ Guam will perform a deliberate attack.

In Manchuko I'm moving air units, HQ, ENG, ART, and ARM LCUs to Jahol. AA units are moving to a southern port. Units @ Jahol should be ready for immediate deployment for Darren in China after we spend the political points. I'm not sending all of these types of units to Jahol as there is still a border to keep up against the USSR - but I'm sending a lot of them. Realistically, while there might be a war some day with the USSR there IS a war with China right now. And all INF units are staying in place - at least at this time.

My plan is simple. Advance from Singora into Malaya, pushing the Allies back to Singapore where they can be bombarded at leisure. I intend to limit the push into Burma and use most of the troops assigned to Burma to speed up the Malayan campaign.

China is a mess, partisans everywhere. I will try to clear the roads as much as possible and form some forward strong points. There will be no general advance for ages. I do intend to move some air units out of Manchuria (will see how much PP I can spare) into China.

I am also thinking of an early advance into Borneo. It will depend on my advance in Malaya and the susequent air battles. The allies are weak there but it is easy to over extend. Either mini KB or ensuring I have the airsupport.

I sent the mini-KB to the South China Sea to try and mop up on merchies running from Hong Kong and Manila. They are set to retire after their mission and I set the home port to Saigon. This will keep them in the area if Darren needs to use mini for operations in northern Borneo. I haven't had a chance to upgrade all of the Claudes to Zeroes yet as zero production is still ramping up.

KB is heading for Kwajalein this turn as sorties are getting low. After they resupply and pick make good their air losses I'll probably use them as air support for Rabaul and then maybe Jojo in the PI (Jojo has a level 3 airbase).

I moved a squadron of zeroes to Legaspi plus a squadron of Patrol aircraft. Not much more I can do for air ops in the PI until I can get some ENG units over to supply aviation support.

I'm setting up CS TFs to supply fuel/supplies to the isles in the pacific. I plan to run TFs from Tokyo to Saipan and then smaller TFs from Saipan to Paula, Truk, Kwajalein, etc.

Notes to Darren:
We have 4 AS ships - 2 @ Kwajalein, 1 enroute to Truk, and 1 @ Hiroshima. Please feel free to move these units as you see fit and take whatever escorts you feel would be appropriate.
@ Fukuoka, Japan, TF99 is loading the 56th Division which has their FO set @ Kuantan 100%. I've set orderes for TF99 to goto Kuantan; If you'd like them to go somewhere else please modify their orders.
Lemme know if you have additional needs and I'll try to make them available 2 U.
