wish list additions...

Post by hack153 »

when adding plays to the offensive and defensive profile, plays should appear on a check list. you simply mark the plays you want to add and bam, they load into the profile all at once. that would make my life sooo much easier!

inside the defensive profile you should be able to mark more than 1 option. as in you can select 4-5 mins left and 1-3 minutes left for the same profile. this would go for most areas.

also, i can see the point of choosing the offense you want your defense to oppose, but damn it's a lot of work to set up a defensive situation for 10+ different offensive formations for different situations. maybe in option for all in one would be a good addition.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
love the game, just my wishlist....

+players would run the exact same pattern even if they are not sent into motion. sometime you need the player not to motion depending on the defense.

+players in a 3 pt stance that motion into a WR position would go into a receiver stance.

+college edition where players can be drafted into your league

+during the draft, the draft snakes (maybe it does and i don't know how to make it happen.) this would avoid power stacking teams.

+international teams allowed with their appropriate flags and geo locations.

+trading but no salaries, or salaries but no free agency (free agency has killed most sports. the rich win while the poor are the cleveland browns!) salaries would be based on winning like the XFL did (XFL sucked, but the $ part was justice).

+WR can run a reverse (maybe they can, but i haven't figured it out yet!)

+on-sides kicking, squib kicking would be great!

+be able to access Utlitlies in the PDS. that would make it easier to add, delete and create playbooks

+PDS would be in the middle of the field

+use CB, FS, SS instead of DB so you can recognize who needs to play where when creating.

+use DE, DT, OLB, MLB so you can recognize who needs to play where.

+Formations, you should be allowed to have all 5 WR and no TE/SB formations.

+be able to run the option where the QB knows (according to the DEF) when to feed the FB, keep the rock, or toss it to the back.

that's all i have for now. right or wrong, they are just my suggestions and thoughts. if you CAN do any of these please mail me or add onto this thread.

thanks for listening!

I don't understand this one.

a snake draft means team 1 goes first in round 1 (of 28), team 28 goes last in round 1, the team 28 goes first in round 2, team one goes last, team 1 goes 1st in round 3, 28 last...snakes...but not on planes!

Snake drafts are useful for startup leagues, and are often used in Fantasy Leagues to try to make it a more even playing field.  They would not be useful for stock drafts, such as the NFL draft.

Great point; however, if simulating the real Fb Leagues/Associations I could make the arguement that snaking a startup draft is not a good idea.

the snaking draft would only be used for the initial start of your league.

i agree with DREAM and would never want it used for the college incoming draft, only in STARTING your league.  that would be really unfair.

if you want real competition, snaking a start-up league is the one of the best ways.  i'm not sure of any other good ways.

i'm just not into power stacking teams, thus, i hate the yankees!

hack153,

Some Teams/Programs/Franchises are already better at the organizational level and coaches, in real life. Of course, maybe the reason you are doing the starting draft is to start the organizational level over again, as if the leagues/associations are just starting out. Then there is the issue that in CFB some Programs have 100-times better recruiting areas in their backyards, Univ. of Miami having the best.
