Harppon 3.7 to work on XP 64 bit OS

Hello All,

I received my CD today, but I ca not get it to install. When I click on the Harpoon3ANW-SetupRelease-v3700DR.exe, it instantly goes to an error message saying that that the following system requirements have not been meet. The message then lists the OS that it will work on. I was told on this list and by HP3ANW support that it will. Any ideas how to get it loaded?

I don't know if this will help, but I get a similar message and tell it to go ahead, regardless, and it does.

Here is the message I see when I try to Install:

I just select OK and continue and it works fine for me.

I ended up installing it from safe mode. I still got the same message but when I click on ok it let me go through with the install.

I don't think ANY of the Beta Team has a 64bit Windows ...  However, I am going to be upgrading my system to 64 bits next month and that means I will probably now invest in a 64 bit Windows to test this out .... or are you running Vista?

We don't support Vista - and won't for a while - mostly due to the fact we have to switch compilers and there is no way of telling how far down that hole goes!  But a side benefit of switching will be supporting Vista.

I've been running the H3 ANW server on Windows 64r2 since ANW was released, the client piece works as well...

Just tested on 32-bit Vista Ultimate and all looks to be well. When installing click OK to continue past install even though it says your OS may not be supported.

Single Player 3.7.0 runs fine
Client 3.7.0 runs fine, connects to server without incident and plays fine
Server 3.7.0 runs fine, correctly prompts windows firewall to open port, clients connect fine, session runs fine

So it H3 3.7.0 runs just fine on Vista 32-bit, the only limitation is that when the game is run, Vista will revert to the Basic color scheme in Windows.  However, even that undoes itself once you are done running the game.
