Any advice on supply bases?

Post by barbarossa2 »

Anyone have advice on where to place supply bases for maximum effectiveness?

I tend to keep them in a group right inside the map edge...away from the fighting. And then move them along from town to town along the way. They are usually clustered with divisional HQs and artillery in my case.

There must be an advantage to having them as close to the units supplied as possible. Does this shorten transit time for supply runs I suppose? And hasten the rate at which other supply runs may be sent out? Of course, one would have to balance proximity to the front lines with the risk that the base gets overrun...should the fortunes of war turn against you quickly.

Thanks on the patch!!! And thanks on the HQ fix!!! Making me very happy!
