Experience gain

Goodaye,

Has the system for units gaining experience in tactical battles changed?

I've noticed with the latest patch that a unit only seems to acquire experience if it routs another (+6 exp). Previously there were many instances of experience gain during combat in circumstances other than routing a unit (eg. just causing casualities while firing might give +1 exp).

My testing of this is limited to a weeks worth of play with the latest patch but I'm yet to see any instance of exp gain other than when you successfully rout an opposing unit.

Must be a coincidence, you do not have to rout an enemy to gain experience.
