I Really Wish

A brand new campaign-based 3D tactical engine covering combat in World War II, from the developers at Koios Works. The first operation covered is the famous "Wintergewitter" or Winter Storm, a desperate attempt by Hoth's 57th Panzer Korps to break through to the encircled 6th Armee at Stalingrad and the Soviet counter-attack by 2nd Guards Army that drove them back.

I Really Wish

Post by Nick R »

Okay is it just me???? I really wish there was a way to save the "movies" of each of the turns so you could watch the entire battle as if you were watching a movie.

One other item would be to be able to turn off the platoon orders and give individual orders to the units.

Yeah that would be cool

Part of the design decision and one that I agree with. The more you play the less you will have the urge to micro each platoon.

Agreed, we'd definitely like to be able to do this, but it's on the fairly long-term wish list as it's a major job to implement.

Yes, though we're always looking to make things more user-friendly.

Agree on the individual orders piece. What I don't like is when you give a plt the advance/bound/etc order and you can only get half of the plt in the woods...the other part is in the clear b/c of no individual orders. I guess if there were an option to give orders to the plt ldr like normal but then you can tweak the individual sqds to within 15 m of their assigned movement (kind of like when you place units at the beginning of a scenario) then that would be good.

You can tweek the destination of sub units AFTER you issue the commander his order.

Once you set the commanders order (say Advance), you can then sub select each individual unit and specify that unit a specific location to move to (but still with the Advance command). Same goes for engaging and targeting

hope that helps.
