Just wondering if there is any disadvantage to having your armies plunder enemy territory by default?

Well, you have to set it to on, each turn, it does not stay on

the big hassle is if you want to take that area later on for youself

other then that, I think it is a good idea to plunder as much as you can

Yeah that was my view as well. I just turn it on each turn, but I was worried that it might affect my diplomatic numbers or something by making me look too brutal.

Well, I do not know about any side effects it may have oveseas

but it can lower the enemies will, but, then again, so does taking there land and Cities

but a deep raid that you do not plan on staying deep, can do major damage when it works
