Finding a handle that's not already taken is difficult. Plenty of people already use names like Darth Bubba, Warrior-Geek, Weed Terminator, Number6, and the like. I always liked the callsign Dingo because it sounds funny and describes me not at all. MangyDingo is my own variation. It's unique so far, besides who else would want to be known as an australian wild dog with mange.
Most people don't feel threatened, or even take seriously, someone with that handle.
Thus it leaves them open, psychologically unprepared for the life and death struggle they will find themselves engaged in on the electronic battlefield. Well, that's the theory anyway. If that doesn't work, then they just get to beat up on a sick dog, what kind of victory it that? Subtlety is key.
They called it the 'Golden Horde', but it was at most 20% golden and the most organized Army of its day. The base unit consisted of 10 men, at least 1 of which was a Mongol. Each trooper had a least 2 remounts and several bows. 10 'decani' would be grouped together in a century, ten centuries would be commanded by a 'millenarius'. And 10 of those, constisting of 10,000 horse-archers, 10 to 12 thousand camp followers and 30+ thousand steepe ponys would be commanded by a "Tomanbeg" This was the largest unit put in the field. 3 or 4 would travel together in the same direction, 1/2 a days ride apart. And they were never stopped by anybody.

Paul, glad to be on board. Must be the way I configured the PC during Upgrade. I had to use my name as the Username and not a nick name. Hey It worked!!
Hey, my call sign is a logical extension of my middle name applied to the role-playing in SPWAW. This game, apart from its focus on tac level warfare, DOES apply itself to a type of RPG, especially in the long campaign games. Anyone else agree with me on this? I think it's this combination of close combat and RPG that really makes this game appealing.
