Lockup at Winter 41 WA Turn, Repeatable

Post by joviel »

While playing as the Jap I have a situation where the game locks up every time when it hits the WA player's Winter 41 turn. The WA AI attacks a German sub with seven DD's and two carriers and misses. Either in disbelief or fustration, the game locks up at that point. I can reload the game back at my turn, finish it and when the game comes around to that point again, it locks again.

I've bought two Matrix games this month; this and Forge of Freedom. Both have locking problems. FoF's is a known bug, I don't know about this. But I'm begining to lose faith in Matrix's testing dept. :)

Thanks,

Please send a save just before the attack that causes the game to crash (and make sure you can load the save and cause the crash). Send it to jabgamer@2by3games.com and dleon0@student.umass.edu. If we can repeat the crash we should be able to fix it. Yours is the first report I've seen about an attack on a sub causing a crash, but as I said, if there is a repeatable save, we'll give it a look.

Thanks for the save. Gary found and fixed the bug (a loop in the AI) and the fix will be in the first patch. We hope to get the first patch released this month.
