What causes a recalculate of orders?

Post by barbarossa2 »

Okay...

I am playing on higher levels of delay now, and I am having problems with offensives that stall and go nowhere.

What is it that causes a recalculate again?

I know reassigning the unit to new orders.

But...I am wondering about a comprehensive list.

Like, reattaching a unit to the parent HQ involved in an offensive. Will THAT force an offensive stop and recalculation?

How about changing aggro, loss levels? Will that force a recalculation?

I may be wrong, but I believe all of the items you listed will cause a replanning.

I believe the only adjustment that doesn't is moving intermediate waypoints.

Any interaction would require order recalculation. Sometimes units adjusting their orders even without interactions. But not all "recalculations" would cause a replan _with delay_.

As posted in "Order Delay" thread, besides adjusting the waypoints all these actions do not require a replan, i.e. have no delay.

Move or Defend Orders
± Changing Speed, Route, Aggro, ROF, and Losses
± Changing Frontage, Depth, and Facing
± Changing Formation, except for In-Situ, which does incur orders delay
Attack or Probe Orders
± Changing Speed, Route, ROF, and Losses
± Changing Frontage, Depth, or Facing
± Changing Formation (except for In-Situ) during the move to FUP, or sometimes (but not always) during the assault
