Lost Victories Install Problems

Post by unbeliever »

Hello All
I downloaded SPWAW v7.0 a few weeks ago and with some very minor problems it seems to work well.

I just received my copy of Lost Victories and am having problems installing LV on my machine. The target computer has an Athlon 650 with 128MB of RAM, plenty of space on the HD and the OS is Windows 2000.

The only way I can get to the install menu is by going through Windows Explorer and double clicking on the Setup icon. Once at the menu I left click to install LV and a voice identifies itself from the 16th Motorized Infantry Division and then the install process seems to die.

I've tried this several times with the same results, process does not respond. As a test I tried and was able to install v7.0 of SPWAW from the CD and that worked OK.

Sorry if this problem has been discussed already and any suggestions other than installing a different OS would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry about the previous post. I had not realized that installing SPWAW v7.0 from the CD also installs LV. It's installed and seems to be working fine.

Yes setup from the CD installs both the full version of SPWAW and the MegaCampaign on the CD, the update/upgrade.exe just installs the Mega into an existing version of SPWAW.

Nope, some trade secrets have to stay just that, secrets.
