New or old Siege CTD ?

Post by vonSchnitter »

Cheers Gents.

Just a question. I am "familiar" with the siege success crash. Supposed to be squashed with the upcomming patch.
This time my "Greys" managed to rescue a besieged town at the very last minute, so to speak.
Driving off the "blue bellies" by field forces. Just the "blue" siege train left. Rebel garrison "dissolved" due to low strength.

And next turn CTD !
Care for a save ? Adressed in the patch ?

Cheers

IT's the automatic removal of the abandoned siegeworks (as it seems you are describing) that caused the problem.  We've been joking in the developer forum that we didn't catch this because Hard Sarge never allowed one of his siegeworks to become abandoned and never allowed the enemy to start a siege on one of his forts or cities.

More beer for Hard Sarge !

He is to good at this. Weaker, weakened or simpler minds - like me - may be required ... [:D]

Cheers

LOL

(oops, meant to also say, Thank you Sir)

which I will say, when the first reports of the bug were comeing in, I also tested it for if the seige failed or if it was good, if it was broken off

and or what not

so I did, try and look at any and all things that could be happening

knock on wood and all, but there maybe something else, too, but over all, it was looking like we got all of them
