When I try to change a players number and save it in the player editor, I get a message " There was a problem verifying player info.

This is using the new patch.

I noticed the same problem - same error; however, changing the number in-game (not in the utility) works fine.  There have been several good changes added to the "edit player" functions in game with the v.1.3.120 release.

That error is usually caused by a date of birth being entered in the AGE column.  Just change the DOB to an age and your problem should be solved.
