No siege weapons

Post by Artmiser »

After the patch I was playing a csa game and decided to switch over to the north for a bit, when I standard campaign all of the union forts now have improvised weapons, and the two siege batteries you start with also have improvised weapons. Is this just me or is anyone else having this problem?

Also probably a known with leader traits that they can train units with, but you often get the same trait twice and the abilities do not stack so they end up taking up your 2nd trainable slot.

ALL of them ?

that seems odd, I will have to go look around and see, what is what, but I did not remember that happening

most of the skills do stack, and some are very good when stacked (double shooter, double fast, double digger are great)

but some of them do not, been reported, and is being looked into

Not sure about everyone, but all the forts in DC now have improvised weapons instead of siege guns and the two siege guns you get to assign to armies are improvised. I loaded the July start date and they have the basic motar.

Just double checked north and south forts same way.

not sure, it looks the same to me

the one Union Fort in the CSA Vir area has a big gun in it, and the rest look to be IWs

which it looks like this when I start the game as CSA or Union ?

as Union I ca see the Seige guns are IW, but as the CSA, I can't see the guns (I see they are there, but can not see the details)

so, I am not sure

but it looks like it is the same for either side

from what I know, there is not a different OOB for each side, they are the same OOB

are you sure you were not in the July Campaign, that one has most of the forts set up with Guns, while the Standard one does not ????

ahhh, that is it then, the July and Standard are not the same OOB, the July was made afterward to get more detail into it

no, if you start the standard one, that is the right set up

your serious? All the forts with improvised weapons and the mobile union siege guns IW?

Sarge that needs to change, the forts should have at least the base 12pdr, same with the union siege guns. Both sides are effected so I suppose its equal, but the forts will fall fast.....

I guess the forts got rid of all there guns since july.

Shrug no big deal to me I usualy start with the July.

Well, don't forget, Cities and Forts already have a base defence number before the Gun type is added in, so they are not totally defenceless

The July campaign was designed by one of our testers, Jim Winsor, and so some of the choices he made concerning starting guns for forts vary from the choices made for the standard scenario.
