Disc Order

Post by PStul »

Hello! I ordered the downloaded FoF game about two weeks ago. A bit frustrating at first (with the download) but now seems to be working fine. I ordered the CD (for $10) at the same time. I was wondering when that will be coming and if the printed game manual might be coming with it? Please advise...and congrats on a wonderful game!

[:(]IIRC Digital River screwed up as the disc was not available at the time. I read somewhere on this forum that Matrix was trying to get them to take it off...which they did. IMO your disc order probably is in purgatory and i would suggest contacting support. I had a similar issue back with WITP and it took months and months before Matrix themselves sent me a copy. Good Luck.....

PStul,

Actually, that's not correct. HellPatrol's issue was an entirely different one.

What you ordered was Digital River's "CD Backup Service". This is something they offer separate from us and have always done. As far as I know, it's a CD of the download in a sleeve that gets shipped to you. As far as I'm aware, if you ordered it you should receive it very soon. Our support won't be able to help with that as quickly as Digital River will, since it's in their system.

Now, that option is different from the "physical" or "game on demand" option that shows up a week or two after a digital release. That's the color printed box + printed CD (and in this case, for the first time ever, printed manual).

If you already e-mailed our support at support@matrixgames.com, we should be able to check with DR as to the status of your backup CD.

We've been asking DR to remove this option, as customers sometimes find it confusing figuring out how it differs from our "full game on demand" physical option.

Regards,

- Erik

I finally found the right thread for getting a CD version of FoF!! THP is right, as of today, December 14th, there is not an option on the Matrix order screen to get a CD with manual.

I am guessing that a person has to call 1-952-646-5257 to order both the CD and the download versions of the games.

I will try this. Any clarification and help to my question is appreciated.

Thank you, Chris
