Line unit strength?

Post by Titanwarrior89 »

What is the amount of soldiers in a unit on average. Trying to figured out losses in combat in the amount of men killed or wounded.

Anyone know?[:)]

Roughly, a company (the smallest component of a unit) is between 200 and 250 men. A unit has between 1 and 4 companies. That's an average, as the real regimental sizes in that era varried rather sharply (and most units where always below full complement).

So a company which has a 10 points hit capacity for instance, you can tell each "hit" is about 25 men...[;)]

Thanks Philthib. Was just wondering. That will give me a general ideal on the losses taken after a battle.[:'(]
