JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!

RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
Not much to show for my economy. I've spent most of my resources on upgrades. I'm leaving my Diplomacy spending a little higher for now to receive more benefits.

I found out about this interesting information on specific brigades. Here's the history of one of my highest quality brigades in the ANV:

I want to share a little more info about the astonishing amount of Iron being produced in Harrisburg. 53 Iron alone in one city. If I were to siege/capture this city it would pretty much put the Union Iron production at a halt and cause a huge amount of trouble. I'll most definitely check this as an important objective for when the opportunity presents itself.

To end the turn I have two upgrades.
For a new Logistics Upgrade I get my share of Centralized Railroads which doubles my Railroad points.

For a new Naval Upgrade I choose Naval Repairs which should help tremendously in repairing my ships after battles.
I set my raiders to destroy more supplies and that's it.

RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
what dos canning upgrade give you i have noted in the 11th csa resupply Jonreb
RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
The Canning Upgrade gives me additional supplies when my units supply priority is set to High.
RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
If you want to move units during winter ( in this case Jackson ), split them into single divisions and move each by themselves. So you get bigger chances to have at least part of your force moving.

Thanks for the tip, soeren01, I never thought of that.
RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
Jonreb theres two US forts on the VG side of the river how come you have not taken them out
RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
I don't need to take them out. It would also take a lot of men, casualties and it would leave my army and territories vulnerable.

Events 3/3
My siege at Lexington starts out rather well. I'm hoping to probe the enemy army to attack me and possibly take the city as well.
My units managed to plunder 3 buildings, including two mansions! This has done a blow to the Union's Nation Will. I'm quite happy about this because the lower their National Will the lower quality their reinforcements are.
My Raiders were somewhat successful. I have no idea what kind of damage this is doing to the enemy armies, I can only hope.
A good deal of buildings finished this turn. A Mint and Arsenal which further increases my economy. A Plantation which increases my building spots and further increases economy. Also a Camp which increases my reinforcements to 11,000 men per turn. Finally I finished a Academy as well which should allow me to get another Corps commander and various other Division Commanders.
Diplomacy is increasing! This is a significant increase and finally shows my payment towards Diplomacy is starting to show colors.
My Runners were successful in getting me some extra Iron. I'm starting to get a huge amount of choices for my Runners. I think I should build another Runner soon. I'm sending my two current ones to get me some more Iron and Money.

RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
In the West not much has changed.
The AOT of 70,000 men continues it's siege of Lexington. The Mephis Division is coming over to reinforce Van Dorn. I'm afraid of that Enemy Corps lurking nearby so I would like to send Van Dorn over to join the Mephis Division early before I begin the siege. The reason I'm doing this siege is because it gives me a start to take better control of the river. The river serves as a reinforced border in which I could build forts on stopping him from capturing territories behind. Furthermore rivers increase my supply and economy efficiency. One more factor would be that rivers give better defenses advantages, but I may be wrong on that.
The Union forces stay as they are, I wonder why. Let's hope the Union takes the bait and attacks me at Lexington.

RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
In the East both forces are still sitting back and building up their armies, but it looks like it is getting more tense. The ANV is now at 90,000 strong while a Union force of approx 100,000 men sit across the Potomac. My Siege Artillery finished this turn as well and joined with the ANV. I have upgraded it to a hefty 10 Inch Rodman which should help tremendously with Sieges. I'm going to continue staying where I am for now to see what the AOP tries to do. I would like to take Cumberland soon for an opening way to Pennsylvania but that army is in the way and I don't want to run into a bad situation.
The 4th Corps of 8,000 men is still moving to Kenawha. Two Union Divisions of approx 8,000 men each have taken some territories in Western Virginia therefore cutting off Pittsburg. I'm expecting them to form up to start a siege on Pittsburg, not too sure what to do about that because the 4th Corps is green and outnumbered.
The rest is rather boring reorganization of generals and such.

RE: JonReb(CSA) v ShootMe(USA): Glory of the South!
Onto Economy. I continue to spread out my Money Income for spendings on Diplomacy. It's rising quickly and I should take advantage of it.
In Savannah I'm starting construction of yet another Plantation.
In Shreveport I'm building another Mint and a Horse Farm.
The last thing I'll do is start a few more Conscriptions. Spring is near so that means population regrowth so it will have no affect on my economy, so I want to take advantage of this and get some more brigades. The only issue would be the Governors' decrease in support and the risk of unrest.
That's it for this turn.
