Battles

Hello all, is there a way to speed up battles I know I can't win? I try to retreat off the map and the AI just continues to wander around even though I have no troops. Did I miss something in the manual? When the AI retreats the battle ends but when I do the AI keeps maneuvering. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

bump! is there any way to end a tactical battle without running all of your units off the map? my battle did end but it would be much quicker if there was a resolve battle or retreat from battle button that lets the computer take over for ya.
