MMOG?

Post by Jakerson »

Damn, it would be cool to have Internet Based MMOG with COTA kind of game engine. That simulates whole Eastern Front and all commanders’ army, corps, division and regimental commanders are human players.

I don’t know how it would work but different commanders could have different responsibilities army and corps commanders handle supply priorities, reserves, reinforcements, replacements, command structure, general strategy and operation areas for lower level commanders etc. While Division and regimental commanders lead the actual fighting.

Jakerson,

Yes that would be cool but we need to wait for PCs to get a lot more powerful before we could support such a venture.

I got this Idea from some very old strategic game I dont remember its name I dont even remember was it for Amiga, Commadore 64 or PC game other than it is pretty old game.

In the game it was possible to have 4 human players on both side on the eastern front so it was possible to have 8 human players sharing same computer. CPU could take role of some players. It was turn based game. [:D]

Anybody remember name of the game? [&:]I used to play it when I was kid a long time age something like 10-15 years back then... Needless to say graphic was horrific compared to todays standard something like 16 colors with LEGO sized resolution. [:)]
