The Warship Blues

Post by JWE »

Do your carriers have a coronary when the KB shows up? do your battleships hide from battle? are your cruisers afraid to cruise? your destroyers unable to destroy? and your subs permanently submerged?? Well my friends, you might be suffering from the heartbreak of the Warship Blues. Yes, my friends … the Warship Blues. This affliction strikes without warning, young and old alike, without regard to sex (sorry, ..gender). Thousands suffer in silence while their opponents laugh at them behind their backs, their wives and sweethearts pack their bags and go to hotels, their friends are filled with ennui and inertia, … yes my fellow sufferers, it’s the Warship Blues.

But help is at hand! Yes, my friends, due to the miracle of modern technology, you can ease the heartbreak, clear up those blemishes, and turn the tables on that snickering rabble that look on you as only a target. Yes!! Help is at hand! Now, for a limited time only, you!, and you alone! can have access to this transcendental Oriental secret recipe, reproduced in our laboratories for the first time ever. Thanks to Dr. Chi-ken Fat, the heartbreak of the Warship Blues can be cured forever.

What is this amazing new cure, you ask? Why .. simple, we respond. Dr. Chi-ken Fat says, “warships?, you don need no steenking warships”. No .. annoy and irritate the neighbors with those pesky patrol craft, mendacious minelayers, salubrious subchasers, and gnarly gunboats. Yes, my friends, harass and attrit, peck em in the posterior, grab em by the g*nads, and slice and dice their ….. did I mention that this product is enthusiastically endorsed by Moe and Shemp (our pecking and grabbing evaluation testers).

Now, for a limited time only, samples of this amazing new product are available below. A 2 year supply will be available, with a Dr’s prescription, from the RogueUSMC shortly. Operators are standing by.

Shouldn't it be Dr. Chi-Ken Phat, by the way? That's what the Google search says...[:D]

Ah, Grasshoper. Dr. Phat appreciates your superior intellect. You must be from one of those Baltic countries that also string consonants together to make words.

He says he has been living in California, where people have diffliculy with two sylable words and double consonants make them sound like they are about to hurl. He thought it best to make things simple for the home audience.

He says you, and you alone, because of your fluency and acumen, can get a special preview before anyone else, except of course for Don Bowen, and maybe Andrew Brown, or J Wilkerson, or Forest, or Ian, but certainly before any JP fanboy, or any of those BB pukes. Dr Fat (Phat) honors you, and hopes you read his article on the correspondance between testicular enlargement and torpedo diameter, on his website.

Best wishes for a happy holiday season. Vrolijke Kerstmis, Frohe Weihnachten. I am not fluent in Danish, so I offer you the season's greetings, as best I can, in Dutch and German. Please accept them in the spirit they are offered. Your friend.

think they would PROTECT your computer!!) and these look nice.

Is there a complete set?

Do I need to resend the turn?...
There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion.

Kinda of a complete set. Gotta talk to my assistant, Ramses.

The art just drops into the art folder, no impact on games-in-progress; you just get to have some eye candy.

Nope, my next one to you should be in your box right now, I just got done with it just now.

I sure am glad that the last turn I sent you made it to you though, that
would have screwed the whole game.
