Events 3/3

My siege of Ft.Hill at Cumberland was swift and decisive, I've captured the fort and province.

At Cairo the siege drags on with yet more losses. Reinforcements have arrived, hopefully they can improve this siege.

The Union Army of Illinois attacked Lexington and defeated my smaller force before the reinforcements could arrive. My Indian Cavalry Brigade surrendered. I didn't take too many casualties, just lost a few rifles. Now that my brigades have arrived I can counterattack.

Battle was avoided in Grafton. How irritating, destruction of these Union fools and battle is avoided.

My Raiders destroyed quite a lot of supplies but I lost one, unfortunately.

I was given a new Indian Cavalry Brigade who I will be sending over to reinforce the 4th Corps.

I finished a huge deal of buildings this turn. 4 Plantations, 2 Mints, 2 Horse Farms, and 1 Arsenal. This should be a great boost in my economy.

Disease hits Savannah. Better them than one of my armies.

My Diplomacy is a bit screwy right now, it is just going up and down. Nothing I intend to do about this right now, it's more important to direct resources towards my armies so they can destroy the Union forces.

My Blockade runners picked up a mild amount of money, pickings are now scarce because of my lack of support however I go after some Money and Iron.

If my numbers from Espionage are correct this small division in the West retaking provinces in Missouri is losing men to attrition. However the Union is getting a lot of Indian brigades recently and is no doubt going to reinforce it with about 3,000 men.

My siege continues slowly and costly but hopefully the reinforcements of high-quality brigades will change that. Once I have finished with Cairo I'll take care of this Union Division with my 40,000 man force and besiege the Missouri Capital, Jefferson City.

In Kentucky the Union AOI attacked my smaller force at Lexington before reinforcements arrived. I took about 1,600 casualties while he took 1,400. I have reinforced the 4th Corps to 30,000 men and I'm attempting a counter-attack. They are in my territory, I have higher-quality men, and good weapons. Even if his numbers are true at 55,000 men I believe I have a chance.

If I manage to defeat them I'm hoping to bring on the attack on Frankfort soon but that will require Artillery or a large investment in Engineering.

My Raiders should finish in Lexington next turn which will be useful.

In the East battle was avoided. Destruction of the Union Army and it had to be avoided. I really can't believe that 2 huge armies could avoid each other.

Anyways I have completely surrounded the Union Armies. They are cut off from supplies and worse are within mountain terrain. I'm going to leave my units at their current locations to try this again. However I'm sending the 1st division from Lee's army, 13,000 men including Siege Artillery, to head over to Harrisburg. This is the major location where the Union is producing Iron so just besieging it will pretty much put the Union's Iron Production at a halt. This leaves Lee vulnerable at only 24,000 men since Longstreet is Monongahela and Jackson is at Grafton but I'll take the risk. They quite literally have nothing to stop me with, except maybe that brigade of colored troops they just mustered up.

Apart from a few weapon upgrades, attributes added, that's it.

My Economy has grown enormously strong. Even with my mammoth forces being supplies and money being poured into Diplomacy I've almost got a constant income of about 100 for each resource. My Diplomacy has gone down a lot due to this Emancipation Declaration but it should get back on it's feet soon.

I'm saving up the rest of my resources but I'm building Engineering in Galveston to increase my Engineering research and make the Governor of Texas happy. I haven't been looking at my governors recently so I hope to invest in them next turn.

Skipping Quality because it is rather uninteresting. Both sides are off the charts which is silly.

Weapons:

Purple = CSA
Pink = USA

As you can see throughout almost every category I have been on top of the USA throughout the whole war.. almost sad.

That ends the turn. I set my Raiders to destroy yet more supplies. I have my fingers crossed the imminent destruction of the Union Armies will happen this time. However if my Armies are unable to kill them the lack of supplies will.

Events 3/3

Hope everyone had a Happy Holidays. [:)]

Heavy casualties at Cairo once again.. my reinforcements still didn't manage to make it.

A small battle in Indian Territory. A newly recruited Indian Infantry brigade for the Union defeated my newly recruited Indian Cavalry brigade... nothing to be concerned about.

Next in Monongahela and Cumberland I managed to take out about 4,000 USA Soldiers, unlucky reinforcements who ran into the Maneuvers of Longstreet and Hardee probably.

Battle was avoided at Grafton, but they seem to be trapped. It's only a matter of time until they die of attrition or my army manages to engage them (for whatever reason they can't).

My Raiders at Grafton were killed. Darn. I'm building another one in Richmond because they can be handy, especially in the highly important task of raiding supplies of the a surrounded and battered AOP.

Only finished 1 building this turn, a camp. Increases my Reinforcements every turn to 13,000 men. These men are at quite a high quality now because of my National Will.

My Support for France increases and the Union's support for Europeans decreases. Great!

The Governor of Texas thanks me for the Engineering and immediately requests an Arsenal. Pushy, but I'll be happy to be build one for him in Galveston.

My Runners manage to get a large amount of Money and some Iron. I send them off to get some Weapons. Pickings are short because of the recent Emancipation.

In the west my devastating siege continues... who would of thought it would be so hard to take a City.

The Reinforcements for the Memphis Division and Van Dorn's Division failed to make it all the way. I sent them by rail and they only made it to Pulaski. I'm going to try it again.. they better make it this time.

The Reinforcements for the 4th Corps also failed to arrive. They were sent from Abingdon, 1 province away, and only 1 managed to make it. Well, I'm going to try again and then move the 4th Corps over to Frankfort.

As you can see the AOI of approx 30,000 men has moved away from Frankfort to Bowling Green. No doubt he may be planning to attack my units at the river. If they do I believe the will utterly defeat them especially if my reinforcements arrive like they should. The growing division in Missouri of approx 8,000 men has also moved close by and I'm assuming he's going to join in the assault adding up to 38,000 to my 40,000. I still believe my boys can hold them, and more. Once I defeat the AOI the 4th Corps Should arrive at Frankfort. This will add extra pressure, possibly tempting him to make another suicide attack against my 30,000 man Corps. I hope my reinforcements arrive more reliably this time so I can get this over with.

In the East things remain decisive. The AOP is still surrounded from Grafton with no hopes of supplies, reinforcements or any kind of retreat. It's only a matter of time before they are completely destroyed.

Apart from a the destruction of 4,000 men in the provinces I captured not much action occurred. Battle was avoided in Grafton. However Hardee is now moving to Harrisburg, the major city of Iron Production for the Union, from York. He will begin a siege next turn and put a major cripple on the Union economy by halting most if not all of the Union's Iron Income.

Diplomacy is making a slight rise and has gained 2 more Support for France. Hopefully it will increase as well for the other nations.

My Economy remains as strong as ever. With around approx 200,000+ men under my command and in supply it isn't doing too bad.

I'm beginning to pay more attention to my Governors so I'm building an Arsenal in Texas and a Naval College in Georgia. I don't have enough Horses for a War College in Louisiana so it will have to wait. Two Universities for FL and NC is completely out of the question (250 gold each). Recruiting another Raider in Richmond to replace another I lost and another Ironclad in New Orleans which will be done in 9 turns. My other Ironclad should be done in 4 turns while my third Runner will be done in 1 turn. Surely he hasn't been able to pay attention to upgrades for his Navy so once I get my second Ironclad out I should be able to take the advantage in the Naval war as well.

That ends the turn. This turn I set my Raiders in the West to sabotage the Railroads.
