RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
In the east I have the AOK of 65,000 men attempt the same thing. They will try to attack this Confederate force at Grafton to recapture the territory and kill as many as possible. As mentioned before it will be hard to move in the Winter but the same goes for the Confederates. If I can at least try to attack their smaller units and kill them it will help out greatly.

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
Further East the ANV will be capturing Ft.Monroe. I really am surprised they can capture it so easy, numbers or not. Their Artillery and Engineering advantage was terrible and this was actually one of my forts that started out with some decent guns and attributes. I lost the whole garrison in two turns and he only took about 2,000 casualties. Oh well, I won't worry about it. The AOP continues to wait and train.
On the side my fleet still sits in Atlantic Waters waiting for these confederate ships. I forgot I could use blockade so I'm setting my two fleets to blockade Savannah and Charleston which should give extra dampening on European support for the CSA. I couldn't find it in the manual but it might also lower the economy income of the settlement?

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
My Economy and Diplomacy are doing well. I have pushed down the CSA's economy greatly in a short period of time. Diplomacy is one of the Confederate's important "lines of supply" to receive extra benefits such as resources from Blockade Runners and various kinds of support (resources, technology, etc) directly from other foreign nations. If I can keep it at an all time low he will be a lot easier to beat. If I can even force him to pay more in Diplomacy, therefore decreasing his Money Income, that will be an accomplishment right there as well.
For buildings I'm creating 3 Mints in Chicago and 1 Mine in Jefferson City. This will give a good boost in my Money and Mine income once they finish. Next I'm constructing two more Corps Containers in Harrisburg and they will be done in 2 turns. I really hope they come out with better ratings. Either way, I need them. If I can restructure the AOP into one army with Corps I will receive more benefits such as training benefits from my Corps Commanders and my Corps Commanders will progressively increase the Containers' ratings over time.

That ends the turn. I'm hoping at least one of my attacks will be successful, no doubt that I will win them.
I promote Sykes to a 3-star Corps Commander within the AOK. I'd like to get one or two Corps Containers over to the AOK as well so I will naturally need Corps Commanders.

Events 2/2
As expected the ANV captures Ft.Monroe.
My Promotion of Sykes increased support from the Governor of Delaware. This is good since the Governor of Delaware currently hates me and I don't want him penalize towards the war effort.
CSA Raiders fail again in their attempts. Good.
I finished two Horse Farms today which further increases my Horse production. I'm in need as many horses as I can get so this is always welcome.
A small disease hits Rhode Island, this is probably the last thing I'm worried about. [:D]
Diplomacy has worked very well. I have pushed down the Confederate's support for all 3 European nations to zero. Mine is currently at zero as well but keeping down the Confederate support is more important.

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
Things remain the same in the Military world. The AOM of 25,000 men has finally formed up so I'm sending them over to Crowley's Ridge to attempt to attack them. The AOI of 26,000 men was unsuccessful in their attack so I'm trying again. That's it for now, Winter has hit and the Confederate units remain in the same positions.

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
In the East I have Keyes 65,000 man AOK attempt another attack on the enemy division at Grafton.
The ANV took Ft.Monroe and now seems to be stuck at the Rappahanock due to the Winter Weather. If they get hit by disease they will get hit hard with no Hospitals in the province.
The AOP continues to grow and generals continue to pop up. I need two Corps in the AOK and three in the ANV. Since I have 1 too many divisions in the AOP (only 3 divisions allowed for each Corps) and 1 short in the AOK I'm transferring over the 1st Division of 18,000 men over to the AOK. This should effectively bring the AOK up to 80,000 men. Two more Corps will finish next turn so I'll send them over to the AOK first. I'm recruiting yet another 2 more Corps which will be used for the AOP.

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
My Diplomacy is extremely successful. I'm making enough gold for now so I'm leaving the diplomacy spending as it is to make sure the CSA's support stays at an all time low. Mine has yet to increase but that is less important.
I'm a building a mint in Providence and Jefferson City to further increase Money income. In Cleveland I'm building a Factory for more Labor and a Horse Farm in Columbus for more Horses.
As mentioned earlier I'm also building 2 more Corps containers for the AOP in Harrisburg. They should be done in 2 turns. I'm continuing to stockpile my Weapons because I am still not totally sure where I will see most of the combat.

That's it. I choose Wallace as my next 3-star Corps Commander. He's a rather good general who is going to be part of the AOK.
I hope one of my 3 attacks are successful, I want to see some Confederate casualties.

Another small turn.
The CSA has destroyed yet more supplies but it fails to be of any significance.
I finished 2 Mints which further increases my Money income.
CSA Support went up 1 for France. He must be spending a lot more on Diplomacy now. This should decrease his money income.. good. I should still be able to push it back down.

My attacks all failed. No harm in trying again so I send in the AOM of 27,000 men and AOI 27,000 men once again.
Kentucky still stays neutral.

In the East the AOK failed in its attack as well. I'm going to try yet again with my large AOK of 80,000 men to attack this small force at Grafton. Here's a look at the new AOK structure, just finished two more Corps Containers.

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
Further East I continue to reorganize the AOP. I've come across a problem though.. every army is only allowed 7 Divisions for some reason, believe it or not. This means I cannot have my whole army into one army container. Damn frustrating, but I've decided to send out the 3 extra divisions to form the Army of Annapolis (AOA) of 42,000 men under General Howards.
I'm hoping to replace this Army Container with a Corps Container. This Corps would work outside of the AOP as a special detached unit. Of course, if necessary, I would use them to join them with the AOP for major fights. I'm finishing another Corps Container next turn so I will send them over the AOA first. Then I'll send over my second and last (for the time being) Corps Container to the AOP. All these new Corps requires more promotions to be used to full effect, my Academies will be done soon.
My AOP is now at 90,000 men continuing it's at training the the river. I have used up the rest of my Gold, Iron and some of my Weapons to upgrade some of my units. I have four 4.50 quality units and I have upgraded 3/4s of them with Springfields, Brigade Artillery, and the Sharpshooter ability. Next turn I'll upgrade the last one. These "elite" brigades should give me a significant edge in battles.

RE: JonReb(USA) v ShootMe(CSA): For the Union!
My Diplomacy continues to do it's job. Apart from France the Confederate support from foreign nations has grounded to a halt. I have increased the amount he is spending in Diplomacy and no doubt in the near future he will have reduced Runner options and decreased chances of any other kind of support from Europe.
My Economy continues quite strongly. Most of my units in the West are actually still in supply since I am attempting attacks plus all this money towards Diplomacy and I'm still making a hefty profit. My only weakness are Horses, I hope Kentucky makes up it's mind soon.
I have spent most of my resources on upgrades and such. However this turn I'm building two more mines in Buffalo to further increase Iron. Next turn I would like to meet the needs of some of my governors, a Barracks for Vermont and an Arsenal in Delaware.
My Cavalry brigade will be done in 3 turns. I'll enjoy seeing those pesky Raiders destroyed.

To end the turn I choose General Poe as a 2-star general. He's a Division Commander in the AOP.
I hope to see some CSA Casualties in my attempted attacks this turn.
