My ode to MatrixGames

Post by Fallschirmjager »

Id like to personaly give a hand to the fine ppl at MatrixGames. Two years ago I downloaded SpWaW 1.0 and never upgraded it. Now I get two MCs and get 7.0. To myself I think hmm itll have a few new features and a few bugs squashed. I copy it to my HD and load it up. From the opening screen im blown away (litteraly I have 5.1 speakers and had to jack up the volume on 1.0 the new stereo sounds were ear shatteringly loud). The new menu is very slick and nicely organized. One of the original complaints I had was that their were too few scenarios. Now that has been changed. 200 battles are mine for the picking. I always wondered where the D-Day beach battles were(thats what most remember about WW2). Now their are 4 nicely grouped (except Sword anyone know why or am I missing it?). I could go on and on but Ill wrap this up. Im simply amazed at all the newness you packed in. And its all free! (at least the SpWaW 7.0 part). So for whats its worth I applaud you for a very appealing and enjoyable wargaming experience.

If you like playing the scenarios, visit the sites of the many SPWaW players out there who design the scenarios in their spare time...where they get that much time is beyond my comprehension. I've got upwards of five hundred on my scenario list. They'll keep me busy till I'm 90.
