When I came on earlier today the number was
round 3006, and now it is 3011! Just think of how many people look at the forum w/o
registering. I looked at the forum for about two months before I registered. So there must be many more out there in cyberland.

Because of early testing - I had about 5 handles on the board, and I just happened to settle on #24

Yeah, I blew my original and extremely different logonid (Charles22) by not providing an email address deliberately. Little did I know that a password would be sent and therefore routed to none@none.com and as such couldn't retreive it in order to open the account when this board changed. Maybe 1,000 of the logins are being held by the Matrix staff or some user, keen on taking over the world or something.

There is no #1 person. Paul mentioned that the low numbers were used in testing and not assigned to real people. I'm happy to be #33.
