Mod:s?

Are there any modern warfare mods for SP:WAW. Like Vietnam, Falklands, Gulf war? WW 2 in all respect, but I'd like to try something new.

To see post-WW2 warfare à la SPWAW, you've to wait for Combat Leader and its "modern" module...
The idea to create a modern version of SPWAW was abandonned due to code problems.

thats a shame I used to like SP2 more than SP1 so is there no hope of a modern version.

SP:WaW is for world war 2, isn't it? That's the reason I like the game so...

Would it really be "impossible" to modify an OOB set and make it more "modern"? Sure, the dates would all be wrong, but if you made up the OOB and in the scenarios said, "Okay, add 20 years to the game dates...or 30 years...", it would work, wouldn't it? Choppers might be a tad difficult, but what if we modified a recon unit as a chopper and gave it a new set of icons and sounds? Sure, it'd be limited to "nap of the earth" flying but heck, that's what most attack choppers do anyway.

I think it would take a lot of work to do, but the idea seems feasible.
What, me worry?

SP:MBT will be available for download in late spring. It will cover from 1949 to 2010 and 90 nations, IIRC. You can find more info about this in:
