I keep my northern runner off New England where I hope it picks up 55 Iron (60/30). My gulf runner doesn’t see much to go after, but I send it after 60 horses 70/20 south of Florida.

Meanwhile on the military front:
I decided to abandon the siege of Rappanhanock. This allows me to move the 10th division into the Shenendoah valley. This frees up General Jackson to take the 12th division into Kentucky.

I move Gen Hugar to hopefully begin a siege and recover Fort Henry. I figure the Union Army will try a move against Memphis so I order General Ewell and the AoT to move to protect it. Finally I order Early and Zollicof to relieve the garrison of Little rock.

Economically it has been really quiet. I have my western army’s on full supply which has really hemmed in my economy. I am loosing 10 money and 3 labor a month. Luckily my stockpiles sit at 106 and 40 so I can keep this up for a while. However, I decide a change is needed so I put the AoT on normal supply, recheck and put the entire Eastern theatre on No supply. This really frees up money and suddenly I go from a -10 money to a +51 surplus. I change some cites from money to labor so that I end up with +8 money and +52 labor (which got down to a low of 32).

I decide to build the 18th division which I will fill with either mustered troops or garrisons. In order to fill the 18th division I move the Galveston, Tx garrison and the Fort Morgan garrison, on the Mobile River. I then order musters at various locations around the country (all with just 10% danger).

I also order the production of another raiders in the hopes that they can replace the Partisans I lost earlier.

My runners again did a great job and picked up what I needed them to

General Zollicof didn’t get the world that Gen Early’s division was delayed and attacked. The battle was closer than is sounds, but still ended up in a defeat.

My runners again wow me, see above. I send one runner after 45 weapons 60/30 near Virginia, but can't find anything in the gulf.

Looking over things I order Gen Hugar to begin his siege of Fort Henry and I order Gen Ewell to attack the Army of Illinois with the Army of Tennessee to prevent it from relieving Fort Henry.

I noticed that Gen Early’s division is in bad need of rest and reinforcement so I move it towards the Mississippi River and order Gen Zollicof to attack the Union army besieging Little Rock. The numbers say it is even, but my troops are better so I am counting on a victory.

Meanwhile Gen Jackson and the 12th division is in Kentucky and is moved to normal supply. This only has a small effect on my economic situation and I hope to influence Kentucky to renounce their staying in the union and join the CSA.

So it is now April 1862.
The US 4th Army has penetrated into Arkansas and has besieged Little Rock. The US Army of Illinois has captured Fort Henry on the Tennessee River. The East has been quiet. My diplomacy has gotten me a little money and a little tech, but I have gotten really nowhere with France or Britain.

Again Gen Zollicof could not coordinate forces and again the Union 4th Army won the day. This time it cost me Little Rock as it, and thereby Arkansas, falls to the Union. The only good news was Gen Hugar took Fort Henry with little problem.

Gen Ewell took the Central Mississippi river province from the US Army of Illinois and handed them another defeat.

I order my runners, who have done great, to go after 45 money (70/40) of the coast of Delaware and 40 money (70/30) in the Texas Gulf.

I order Gen Ewell to continue his pursuit of the Union Army of Illinois into the Paducah, Ky area while Gen Hugar moves to make a siege on Cairo. (risky I know, but Cairo is so important and will cut off the Army of Illinois if I can accomplish it.)

Meanwhile the East is quiet. However, looking around it appears the AoP has moved toward Ohio. This concerns me and I wonder where it could be going. I order Gen Ripley with the 10th division to make a plunder attack into the Cumberland province while General Jackson makes a plunder attack near Lexington, Ky.

Economically I order more musters in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Wow what a turn. It started with a naval battle near Delaware. Earlier I had tried to move my Gulf fleet to Charleston, SC. However, because of the Union blockade it was unable to make it so I parked it off the coast of Delaware and left it. Well this turn the Union Navy decided to come out and give battle I sunk 4 of their ships. A small whooppie!!!!

Then the Union 4th Army vacated Little Rock and attacked the Arkansas-Mississippi river area. There was a small battle between some loose brigades that ended in a small CSA victory and the surrender of the USA 43rd. Then the Union 4rh Army tried to move towards Memphis and was that a blunder. Gen Ewell and the AoT was there, on his way to move against the Union Army of Illinois, and the result was a large battle that cost the Union dearly. All told 5 brigades ended up surrendering to us and we got their Springfields. Wow.

That last turn was wow. The Union lost a total of 6 Brigades and over 21,000 troops.

I order Gen Zollicof to take back Little Rock. I order Gen Early, his division now reinforced, to attack the remains of the Union 4th army. Meanwhile I order the AoT to stay and protect Memphis. Gen Hugar continues his siege against Cairo and Gen Jackson begins a siege of Frankfurt which I hope forces a reaction from the union.

I order my runner in the Gulf Texas to go after that same 40 money 70/30 and my runner off the coast of Delaware to try for 50 money 80/40
