Next I want to move the 206th Inf Div. These guys probably feel like they have been left out of the fight but I feel I'm going to need at least one fresh division somewhere between here and Riga and this one may be it.

Next I want to move the 126th Inf Div. These guys are destined to be part of the right flank of the piercing arm headed to Leningrad and I need them to be on the road getting into their position.

Next I want to move the 30th Inf Div. This is what happens when you do a group move and one of the units doesn't move at the same rate as the others or has less movement points or something. The HQ unit didn't end up adjacent to the regiments. It isn't a game stopper this early since all the regiments have okie dokie supply levels ( so far ) but I would like them to be adjacent if it's possible. I decided to get these guys on the road headed to Riga by going around the road block and it looks like they did that.

Next I want to move the 122nd Inf Div. I wanted these guys to get on the road to Leningrad so I moved them across the river and along the road as far as they would go.

Next I want to move the 123rd Inf Div. One of the regiments had only two movement points left and I really wanted to keep the regiments together if possible with the HQ unit adjacent to them so I moved the regiments that could move, up on the road and moved the HQ unit so it was adjacent to them all.

Next I want to move the 12th Inf Div. I thought that since these guys are the closest with any movement points left that they should be the spearhead against the next Soviet roadblock. Actually only one regiment of the division was able to ge there with a handfull of movement points left. The attack on this roadblock will have to come in the last round it seems.

Next I want to move the 251st Inf Div. One of the regiments had only 2 movement points left so I moved him onto the nearest road and moved the other regiments and HQ unit so that they would be on the road and adjacent to the immovable regiment. I kinda want to keep them together as a personal quirk I guess.

Next I want to move the 121st Inf Div. One of the regiments of this division had enough movement points left to move to the next roadblock and have movement points left over. The two other regiments would have arrived there with 0 movement points so I chose not to move them there on the hope that SOMEBODY would have enough movement points to get there and actually attack it.

Next I want to move the 291st Sec. Div. I think of these guys as the last one I want to send into combat. More of a unit to finish the surround with or convert hexes to friendly status, that sort of thing. So they could really come in handy on the way to Riga converting hexes as they go. So I get them on the road and headed north.

Next I want to move the 253rd Inf. Div. I think these guys might come in handy in reducing roadblocks on the way to Minsk. So I send them East.

Next I want to move the 26th Inf. Div. The HQ unit has 0 movement points left so I just move the regiments up on the road next to him and let them call it a day until next turn.

Next I want to move the 7th Panzer Div. I thought it was a good matchup for the 7th Panzers tank regiment to confront the Soviet armour on the road to their East. At least they are assulting across a bridge instead of the river. I'm thinking that I may not have to stack another regiment in there with the two that are already there 'cause that would cause stacking density danger yellow. I'd rather not do that. But if two regiments won't force the Soviets back then I'll throw another regiment into the fray.

Next I want to move the 6th Inf. Div. All three regiments of the division can reach the Soviet fortress on the river but only one of them can attack. I'm not sure that's a good idea...may only cause high losses. I'm thinking of waiting until turn two to assult that fort.

Next I want to move the 19th Panzer Div. I need to breakthrough the roadblocks if I want to make real speed on the open highway so I thought I'd put a heavy hitter on the next roadblock. Two of the divisions regiments might force that Soviet engineer unit back out of the urban hex. Then I can use the tank regiment on him since it's my belief that tanks don't fair well in urban terrain.

Next I want to move the 12th Panzer Div. The division leapfrogged across the river with the assist of its organic engineer unit and moved two regiments up next to the stack of Soviet units, one of which is armour. I'm thinking that using this panzer division to reduce the roadblocks will speed the others on their way to Moscow.

Next I want to move the 5th Inf Div The HQ unit has just enough movement points to get outta the forest. So for now I'll just move the regiments one hex past it and stop for the round.

Next I want to move the 161st Inf Div The formation report says that the division still has some strength left to it to I'll just assign it again the task of reducing that Soviet roadblock. The HQ unit will go to tac. res. mode and all three regiments will attack at min. losses. There are 2 railroad arty units within range...I'll assign them to attack directly. Plus I'll throw in a squadron of JU-88's to help. Maybe we'll be rid of this Soviet division this time.

Next I want to move the 28th JG Inf Div The division is tasked to help the 161st to reduce the Soviet division blocking the road. Once we're past this roadblock we can start taking apart the next one. All the way to Smolensk.

Next I want to move the 8th Inf Div The formation report says that the regiments are running outta steam. One of the regiments has a readiness level in the 30's so I'm going to pull them outta there and replace them with units from the 256th Inf Div. I'll move units out of there until there's only one left...move some more units in and THEN remove the last remaining regiment from the 8th division. That way there's no disengagement penalties to pay. Unfortunately a check with the attack planner says the earliest I'll be able to attack is in round 5.

Next I want to move the 18th Panzer Gren. Div The recon units of this formation will move up and screen the left flank of our thrust. The main regiments will confront the Soviet armour on the road and the HQ unit will provide arty support. The recon units will hold until relieved by another Panzer unit hopefully. My guess is that the Soviets will probably attempt to pull back and escape from the pocket that is developing strategically.
