HELP INSTALLING PATCH

Hello...I know I am a few weeks behind with this, but I just downloaded the siege patch onto my computer. I then "extracted" all the files and was prompted to re-install the files again. It called for a serial number again, which I cannot find. Is there a way I can get this serial number again or is it simply the order number? Am I to re-install the entire game again? Will this cancel my saved game? Please help....Paul

You should have gotten(and kept[;)]) an order confirmation from DR*Matrix Games when you placed your order...on it you'll find the serial #.
Second Method:
a)Always keep a record of your Serial #'s
b) Go to www.findmyorder.com and follow the directions eg:order# & password or email & last 6 digits of credit card...this will take you to your order(with serial#).

If you have registered the game (w/Matrix) earlier when you first bought it, you can retrieve your serial number by logging into the "Members" area of the Matrix site and then choosing "My Games". From there you will be sent the registered serial number, which I suggest you make a copy of in a "FoF Serial Number.txt" file using Notepad and store it with your other Forge of Freedom files. I even keep 2 different copies on two different hard drives for added protection. (or burn a CD) but FoF will not fit on standard 700 Mbytes CDs.

If you didn't register FoF, you "may" find it in your Windows Registry, provided it wasn't wiped out if you reinstalled the original game. From the way you are asking, I am assuming you did not do a complete uninstall/reinstall.

In which case:

Go to your Start Button, Select Run...
When the Run box pops up, type in Regedit and press OK

In the Folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Subfolder SOFTWARE
Subfolder Matrix Games
Subfolder Forge of Freedom
The second entry "authorized" is your serial number

Be very careful not to make any changes to the Registry itself. Just exit out of it once you have retrieved your serial number.

edit: Note the dashes between the numbers are relevant if you didn't already know.
