I renamed those... In Rick's scenario they're simply called 1 st Tank etc ... they don't show up in his HQ's either, but can get special supply from the HQ that shows in the menu (bottom right)
It puzzles me as well.

Yeah, but why NKVD? I'm no East front expert but I don't see much connection between NKVD and mobile tank armies. I know you can get special suplly but still this denomination puzzles me. Why not just 1st, 2nd...15th Tank army?

If I'm right there is a limit on Soviet tank armies. It seems that a German panzercorps shell is used, turned into Soviet ... btw the NKVD denomination is only a hypothetical name... the NKVD "could have" raised tank formations..... you can rename 'em using the scenario editor.

Yeah, but that would imply doing some real work insted of complainig all the time [;)]
BTW, can you imagine an NKVD T34? Instead of the turret it holds a state of the art fully equiped torture chamber. Rotating, of course! [:D]

I had such fun with this original scenario. We played it twice with Rick, both times the germans won (once Rick, once me), quality always won in the end without the western fronts and the strategic bombers. The germans stop the offense in a few weeks, prepare until next summer, then strike with a *lot* of nasty tigers/panthers/fw's/he177's. Maybe the soviets should be beefed up like in the possum version, to make it more even.

Maybe some day I"ll enhance this scenario, but I'm currently working on a mod of an alternate history TOAWIII scenario where Trotsky calls the shots, invades Poland and gets Germany (and the Allies) against him.
