Newbie question about the patch

Post by leadhitter »

Is the comprehensive patch all I need?

I downloaded it into my Witp folder....but do I need to drop it into the PATCHES folder?

And finally, the patch is in a .zip format....once I drop it into the correct folder, do I need to open and run it?

Thanks for taking time to answer dumb questions....

Comprehensive patch is all you need, yeah. When you open the .zip, you'll get an .exe install file, which you'll need to run (have your serial number ready).

Thanks Terminus.....been enjoying your comments on Speedy's AAR against Faber. I've learned alot reading those reports.

One more question , where should the patch be located....in the general WitP folder, or in the patched folder?

Thanks.....Parker

You can put it anywhere. It's like any installation program that just puts all the proper files in the proper places for you. After patching, you can delete the downloaded file.

Personally I would burn the patch zip file to a CD which will save you a 75MB download if you ever need to re-install the game.

If you downloaded the game from Digital River, I assume you have burnt a backup copy of the file to CD as well??

Welcome to the madhouse and I hope you get many hours of enjoyment from this game.

Cheers,
Reg.
