i spoke to soon - just got a verification error on a Memorex disk, again, right towards the end of the verification... [:(]... these disks worked just fine before. i had let the machine cool down a couple of hours before trying this last one. i'll give it one last attempt before going back to single layer media.

That's a bad case of Murphy's Law you've got there: not only does everything go wrong, it also does so at the very last moment, maximising time wastage! [X(]

Good luck...

Burning another disk - something is off - it is only burning at 1x instead of 2.4x as it always has before... this isn't looking good... 1.6 out of 8 gigs burned...

Looks like another verification failure... yep... well, hang the dual layer stuff. This came in the approximate same area as the previous 3 failures...

i've had 4 failures (and 1 success) trying to burn this data. i usually do dual backups, and will keep 1 set in a safety deposit box (in case of fire or other disaster). Three of failures were on the Fujifilm disks (100% failure rate on verification, although they've all burned ok.) i've had 1 verification failure with the Memorex disks, and 3 or 4 burn failures caused by the Windows Scheduler starting to do stupid things...

It was great.....(the parts i remember)

watching Snakes on a Plane...then Jackass season 1. It doesn't get any dumber than that......perfect for a drinking night.

I was disapointed a little in truth.....i was expecting the Cheese factor to be far greater.....and for Samuel L Jackson to be much more over the top....instead he was pretty sublime up till the end of the movie.....no wonder the movie didn't live up to the hype.
