Update of KB attack near Auckland. [:@] Lost 6 TK and a few AK. [:o] Sent all the BB and other capital ships to Sydney. Waiting until probably July to launch a major affensive. My two lone carriers are in good shape, 3 and 1 sys damage. Most of the BB are under 10 sys damage. The TF with the 2nd USMC Div is still a long ways out. Pearl will fall very soon despite my efforts to resupply. Three Coronado air units have been lifting supplies non stop for over amonth now, this in conjunction with my sub supplies arer trying to make a difference, but it migh be too little too late. [8|]. Thus the mini operation called weinie roast the sequel. [:'(] Weinie Roast will entail a two pronged attack. One from the north and one from the south. Details later. [:)]

Do you still hold Alaska???? I would reinforce there heavily. Anchorage, Sitka, Dutch Harbor, etc. should be a fortress. With a land route to the WC you really can't be cut-off and killed, or at least it would be tough to do so. With Alaska you can threaten and harrass supply lines to PH and keep it from being a fully functional base, or at worst tie up huge amounts of IJN resources keeping it secure.

Operation Wienie Roast was one day late. [:)] Wasp and company did not arive off Attu Island in time to sink any ships. I am thinking about a quick strike against Kitachishima Fortress. My airforce has been bombing that area for the past couple of weeks. A few days ago some Jap cruisers and destoyers showed up and tried to blast my planes. I lost quite a few but I am back up and running again. [:)][:'(][X(][:D]

When Scott started this AAR of our Team game.....I said I would play a supporting role ...and contribute thoughts from my areas of command.......and ....alas..... I have been found wanting............so as I at last come forth from one of the most upmarket of opium dens in Calcutta......I feel it is about time I pull my wieght in this AAR...........and at risk of the song....'you only sing when you're winning'....(please reference football(soccer).......I've raised my head above the parapet at just the point when I suspect the Japs. are starting to lose their way.......and in the next week or so I will.....hand or heart share maps of China ....and Burma/India....my areas.......and give you the thoughts about the way forward............

The Evil little mean threaten my lone stronghold on Xmas Island. [X(] Level 9 Fort and 30K troops. That might prove to be interesting. [8|] Lost a bunch of planes on Jap bombardment[X(]. Wasp is on her way back to Seattle for her 10/42 upgrades. The Boise[:)] is almost fully repaired and await her 10/42 upgrade as well as the Honolulu. Operation Weinie Roste is coming along nicely. Victory at Christmas Island
The 40th US Division repulsed a major Japanese landing on the tiny island of Christmas. Over 70,000 Japanese troops were said to have taken place on the failed operation. [:'(][:D][:)][8D][X(]

Operation Weenie Roast has commenced into planning stage for the second phase. The first stage was the harassment of the Japanese airpower and naval power. The first objective was to hold Xmas Island. The second objective is the two pronged assault on Solomon Islands/Papa New Guinea from the South and the invasion of Northern Japan from the North. Operation Weenie Roast is therefor Top Secret [:-]
