Star Trek Legacy Comparison....

Post by Destraex »

I considered getting Star Trek Legacy but think that SGS is far advanced will give me fighters to fly on the side of controlling the big guys!!
It seems such a shame that games like STL will outsell SGS purely due to universe and marketing powers.

STL....

That game was utter garbage. Im ashamed to even admit to buying it. The graphics are last generation and full of glitches and errors. So many features were stripped from the game that its left being only a fraction of what was advertised. There is NO control setup whatsoever. The multi-play works only a small fraction of the time. The official coplaint thread at bethsofts STL forum has filled up nearly 4 times now.

I am EBay-ing my copy (since nobody will allow return of an opened PC game). Maybe I can sucker someone into giving me part of my money back...

Hey ya still thinking of buying STL? I have a copy ill sell ya for cheap![;)]

True, though if you're in the UK I'd try and get it returned under my statutory rights. If the game is as rubbish/buggy as everyone says, then it is clearly not "suitable for its purpose" and should be returnable for a full refund.
Of course I suspect that'd fail without lots of pushing and at least one threat about contacting trading standards. :/

Well thats one of the joys of being an american. If your dumb enough to get suckered into buying software over here, your pretty much stuck with it. There is so little recource and to really get anything done you would have to file a civil suit against the software company. The cost would outstrip the price of the game ten fold not to mention the judge would likely laugh the case out of the courtroom. No the best we Americans can do is avoid giving them any of our money in the future.
