Subtitles ?

Hi,

I wish to try the demo version but I need to know if this game have an option to enable subtitles.

If not, are there a mod or plans to a patch to give subtitles ?

My problem is the English is not my native language. I able to read / write but dont hear / talk in english.

Eh? I've been told that there is some audio chatter in Starshatter 5 (also known as The Gathering Storm), but there is no spoken audio (talking) in earlier versions or demo. So subtitles are definitely there.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I was wondering if there were subtitles too. After all, how else will most moders progress the story? They're not going to want to use voices for numerous reasons.

Problem is, having just checked in the game, I can't see any "subtitles on/off" option. :?

cutscenes between missions in TGS don't have subtitles, although mail does.

Any news or briefings can also be read after they play.

Just click the intel tab

Hmmm. Subtitles would be nice.
And technically the mail doesn't have subtitles. It's just a mail which is text in the first place - it has narration. ;)

Yeah, there are news broadcasts, voice mails and such between the missions. The visuals are pretty simple: zooming around spaceships and planets. It really helps to bring out the story though.

I'm sure if its video a mod could fix that - even clips from movies perhaps? ok so that may breach copyright :(
