RE: April 5, 1942
It is now April 5.
Russia is starting to bend under the strain.
Palembang fell 2 days ago.
A carrier TF disappeared into the Indian Ocean 2 days ago and showed up off of Trincomolee today. See attached map. Columbo is empty save 1 squadron of fighters and ground units. My damaged BB and carrier are in Columbo under as much air cover as I could gather. There were 4 squadrons of hurris on Ceylon prior to the carrier disappearence. I moved in more immediately.
There is a small transport TF moving toward Java. I have moved 120 or so aircraft on rest in Northern Austrailia back to Batavia and Sorejaba. We will see if the rest helped any.
My subs had some success today:
Sub attack at 24,57
Japanese Ships
AP Konan Maru, Torpedo hits 1, on fire
PG Taiko Maru
PG Okuyo Maru
Allied Ships
SS KXV
Japanese ground losses:

RE: April 6, 1942
The April 6 turn went well also. Moving rested air power back in to Java suprised Terminus a little, I think
Of course this will most likely generate a response in the form of heavy air raids. However, my units have achieved moderate success.

No. 1 group of carriers just left the Indian Ocean (sinking only 2 transports) and 1 group is in the north Pacific having just raided a Soviet base on Shakalin(sp?).
He needs to hit Java soon, I think.
He has finally made some air raids on Port Moresby.
We have progressed to April 13. I will update tomorrow.

The game has progressed to April 14.
An invasion TF will land in Petropavlask tomorrow. An IJN base here will threaten the Aleutians.

I still hold all of Java.
I have a very large naval force in Northern Austrailian waters.
A raid on Amboina is planned before he can move in air units.
B24Ds in Darwin have raided Amboina twice. Air strength there is still weak.

Me too. If you have time please could you say how you do it and which tools you need to produce such great maps? I have been tempted to do an AAR but know creating an excellent one with maps like these is a bit beyond me.
I am amazed he did not isolate Java by landing on Timor and Bali. It would have made it impossible for you to get the shorter legged bombers and fighters back in.

I use PhotoshopElements. It is much cheaper than Photoshop (about 25 percent of the price). I use the layers feature to overlay the maps with arrows, comments and special effects. I then save the file as a JPEG at about level 4. This has never gone over the size limits.

If the SC task forces can remain hidden for 48 hours I will bombard.
Aircraft in Kendari Menado and Bulla are on naval search.

Also the carriers near Petrovlask have not moved closer to invade. See previous North Pacific map. Was this a trap to try and draw my carriers north?
All of his other carriers have disappeared.
