Can we please stay away from real team names.
Please guys. It may just be me but it would make it more fun to come up with something original instead of a league full of cast off names from the NFL/USFL/WFL and CFL
Just my 2 cents

Your league kinda intrigues me a bit. I'm curious, are you guys going to use any special rules for plays? Like for example, are you going to have Defensive restrictions like only 1 Linebacker allowed to blitz?
I don't think I can join the league now, but perhaps in the future.

RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The blitz rule that you have brought up has not been discussed so far.
bigmac has been very accommodating, allowing discussion among the leagues governors on what rules we should implement, and so far has created quite a bit of excitement as we have an active hand in molding this league. If it has merit, we'll bring it up and discuss it.
For the first season, we'll be using the stock 8-man playbook without modifications. If it has 2 LB's blitzing, so be it.

It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all outta gum.
RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE
I don't think the default playbook has any plays with more than one linebacker blitzing
RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE
I also just wanted to add, I haven't messed with the Indoor Option much with the latest patch, but may I suggest using 30 second play clocks with 10 minute quarters? In my experience with previous patches, it was very easy to get high scores with 15 minute quarters. The 10 minute quarters would also mimick the continuous time clock rules that many leagues use.

We'll be playing 3 down football, Magnum357, so that should have a hand in limiting the scoring.

Hey guys, I was reading through your board. It looks like you will have a fun time of it.
You may want to talk about any redefinition of player rating prior to having the computer create them. Some beta guys like a little more variability in the players in their leagues than is provided by the default numbers.
Small leagues may also do well to limit draft picks in trades, because owners may give up the future of the team for the present and then drop out later. My league does not allow both a first and second round pick to be traded in one season, and other leagues have similar rules.
If you go with three downs, live kicks, and no fair catches, that sounds cool.
Unlimited motion would require changes to the playbooks though, as the default plays will be set up with one player in motion (can be moving forward) and one blitzing player only, as most indoor leagues use those rules. By going to three downs, there may be a need to allow more aggressive offensive play, so you may have to see how it goes.

RE: NEW INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The PIFL kicked off this weekend with some good games. Some were close, some were high scoring and some were low scoring. A nice combination.
A great job is being done by the league commissioner so far. He keeps the website up to date and the team owners post neat little stories about their teams and rosters.
I have an expansion team for next season and from the way it looks in the early going, the PIFL will be a great Maximum Football online league to have a team in.

I have to agree with WallysWorld. Everyone is involved in the league, the games are close, the stats are respectable, and the message board is great. We even have a few special features like Power Rankings and the MVP Chase throughout the season, so it should give some incentive to keep checking back.ORIGINAL: WallysWorld

It's a good, easy, fun league that hopefully attracts more people. I'd personally like to see at least 14 - 18 teams by the end of the third season. Maybe we can get everyone on here to join...

Yes, agree with all above. Great start for our league. Hey, my kicker went 11 for 11...and well, thats about all my team did [:@]
It's 3 Down Indoor football, with a good group of owners.

Unfortunately for new PIFL franchises, the commissioner (in a secret deal) agreed to give me territorial rights for all of western Canada.
Draft picks will have to be given to me in order to place a new franchise or move an existing one anywhere west of Ontario. [:D]

Tbird, hope you don't mind that I took your Bandits fantasy uniform from your website, made a few changes to it and are using for my team. I gave you credit in the league forum. Your uniform site is great!

Guys, is the PIFL run in real time or with the sim option?
If it is real time, it would be nice to have screen shots from games on your website.
If it is simmed, then you can fake 'em by loading up a quick game with the teams, and getting screen shots from that.
