SLAM-ER DB Error?

Using the ANW 2.0 database in the Tattletale scenario (amended to add some modern firepower) I loaded some SLAM-ERs on F-16s, assigning some to ship strike and some to ground strike missions. They launched but wouldn't leave the vicinity of the carrier. Nor would they land; they just circled at low altitude, acting kind of like the type of target wasn't legal for the weapon (this is just a guess). When I tried to manually move them or do anything, they wouldn't budge. They showed a 7-hour fuel state, and never went Bingo, they just ran out of fuel and kept flying. Pressing the speed/altitude button produces the normal dialog box but the only selections are loiter and low, all the other radio buttons & text are missing. Very curious behavior. I have a saved version showing the behavior...any suggestions?
