Registration Problem

The other day I tried to register my Flashpoint Germany game in order to download the latest patch. I kept getting an error message saying 'key already used'. I posted to the tech support forum requesting help but have been referred here as they apparently couldn't 'sort it out'. Hopefully you will be able to assist.

Let me gather some info from you and I'll see what we can do to get you fixed up.
1. I saw in the other post that you bought the game directly from matrix. Was this download or box or both?
2. Is this the first attempt to register the game?
3. Are you typing in the key or doing a cut and paste from another source?
4. I take it the game has been running fine up to this point? (In other words the game installed and is running and using the key that came with it.)

I'll send an e-mail to Erik Rutins tonight and alert him to the problem and get a better idea of what the error message means.

With any luck we can resolve this pretty quick. [:)]

Hi

I downloaded the game from Matrix and all is OK as far as running it. I thought I had registered the game when I got it but it does not show up on the list in the members area.
Anyhow I typed in the serial number manually and it corresponds to the one shown on the Matrix website under my list of orders. Appreciate your help.

Please e-mail (do not post of course) Erik Rutins (erikr@matrixgames.com) with your exact serial # and what account/e-mail you are using to register in our Members' Club and he will investigate and find out if there's a shared key. Erik should be able to solve your problem. Let me know how it turns out.

All is well. The problem was that some other games I had, including FG, were registered under an older ID. Alex moved them over to the current ID and the patch download was successful. Again thanks for your help.
