Buttons Disappeared on menu

Hi all.
I've been happily playing a single player game for about 4 months.
Yesterday, my wargame mate and I decided to start a PBEM game.
We set it up and did the turns..

When I came to again load my single player game, several buttons are missing from the top menu.
The intel & combat report and operations buttons are gone.
Even after running a turn - nothing!

Does anyone know how I can get them back?

I'm guessing you're the Allied side? If so, then it's the Japanese player who controls the options for the game, and he's most likely set them to off. It's him that has to turn them back on.

Its a one player game that I'm playing here.
The computer is japanese.

Check your in-game preferences.
The PBEM game may have changed them.
