Are we there yet?

I read on other threads that the game is near completion. Can we expect a release soon? [:'(]

I second the question. "Almost there.... almost there...." I remember reading about a game called "Trench" back in 1999 or 2000, laugh...

If we had more screenshots or more comments it would be great. Its been awhile since it was said that the game's almost finished.

The feeling you get waiting for this game is probably quite similar to that of the soldiers of The Great War.... we're just sitting here waiting for something to happen, have been for a long long time... not much has changed... ho hum. No one seems to care, the communications are downright awful. We're bored waiting so we just talk about silly things in order to pass the time... but then, out of the blue, and offensive begins (meaning someone like Frank chimes in) and we get all excited for a day or two and then that's the end of it... we have to continue counting sheep until the next offensive, which is normally about 3-4 (or more) months since the last one.

FYI Frank has mentioned in the beta forum that there might be only 2 more iterations before the game is finished.  Of course there's no way of knowing exactly how long that will take, but it's probably a safe bet to assume that it'll be released this year rather than next!![:)]

Waiting for this game is sorely testing my Stoic belief system.[:(] I will be a better human being for it; I just know I will.[&:]

It will be over by Christmas, perhaps even a release date of the 11th day of the 11th month just to be sure it's in the stores ahead of time

Does the game will be sold in retail (like GGWAW was) or on order only (like CoG)?

I am fairly certain that it wont be sold retail. Just my guess.

I remember (In the Empires in Arms forum) about talk of that game finally coming out for the 200 year anniversary for Trafalgar (2005), we are now approaching the 200 year anniversary of Eylau. Just hope we aren't looking at the 100 year anniversary for the "Guns of August" for this game.[8D]
