Post by Recon_slith »

Says it all really. Now when the Lost Victories patch arrives I can get down to business.

Before running the update 7.1 exe:

What is the date of the mech.exe which it installs? There are other versions floating around out there.

Thanks for the info.

The final build adds the MC C&C under NT kernal OS's fix. Its dated 3/24.

Older beta versions should be replaced with this exe and the 3/24-25 dated OOB set.

Thanks, Paul. The detail on the OOB's is very welcome, gives us a chance to restart with new everything if we aren't too far along in a campaign.

Guess we better get used to this mech.exe, it being the last one and all.

Everyone - The patch exe attempts to install itself to "Matrix Games" directory (one space between names), which does not exist on my system. It must be changed to "MatrixGames" with no space or will not install correctly. See thread elsewhere, others are having the same problem.

Thank goodness I asked about the dates, otherwise I wouldn't have gone looking for a dir with nothing but a new mech.exe and OOB's in it.

(Dates when installed correctly are per Paul above.)

I assume it is too late now to change the packaging of the Final Patch exe - let's hope users check the Forum fequently - perhaps someone should do a "sticky" at the top?
