PureSim 2007 Streaming VideoCast

Post by puresimmer »

I have uploaded the first in a series of vidCasts that cover various aspects of PureSim. This first one is targeted at developers. It is a 35 minute snooze-fest that demonstrates how you can create add-ins using Visual Basic 2005 .NET Express (Free from Microsoft!) and PureSim using the SDK (software development kit) that ships with every copy of PureSim 2007 v1.51.

Again, if you are not the programmer type, this will be of no interest. If however, you have always been curious about modding PureSim, this is a good first introduction.

Watch PureSim Developer VidCast 1 (Windows Media Stream - 35 minutes)

I think I'm going to cover user mods for the next VidCast (how to import photos, parks, schedules, logos etc.) Any other topic ideas?

That seems to be the draft video, not the add-in development video

Thought I'd ask one more time since PS2007 will be the final version.

Did you ever get a chance to make this video accessible?

Sorry, I need to re-do that programming screen cast. Somehow it's audio track was corrupted. I will be focusing on opening the game up more to modders moving forward.

Shaun,

Any way to split this up in to 4 files and put it on youtube(10 min max per file)? I would love to see it. I would be more than happy to split the file up and put it on my youtube account if you want to send me the whole thing.

What's that program you use to create the webcast - the one with the loud clicks and yellow halo around the cursor? I have seen a bunch of those on asp.net vids and it makes it really easy to follow.
