How should I use the US blockade runners?

Send them to the French West Indies, to take up some supply or artillery units that will show up there, and transport them back to the US ...and avoid being caught by the RN[X(]

When does the contraband by the French appear and where are you suppose to hide the transports from the RN until you have a use for them?

They show up in Feb 1778. In the meanwhile, hide the transports in a well defended port (if you have any left [:'(])
