viewing the plays

Post by hack153 »

i was doing some transfering of play files, into back-up files, and attempted to open one using notebook to see if i could view it. when i attempted to place them open plays into my playbooks i couldn't not visually see the play in the block provided. any way to get this back to being viewable?

The play data files are a custom file format. They're not viewable by any other software. I suspect by opening the file in notepad, it's probably become corrupted, which is why it no longer shows up. I would delete that file or it could cause problems for the game.

thanks.  i realized that there are 2 parts to a play file.  a ply##### and a plyd#####.  guessing the second (d) is for display.

is there a way to change the play ID from a number to a personalized system.  i know you can rename, but that seems to not work. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

PLYxxx is the thumbnail bitmap..it's just a bitmap.. nothing special. PLYDxxx is the data portion of the play.
