def mines @ port

Post by XG76 »

Hi all,

since v2.5 you can take a look on your mine defenses at your ports on the base screen. Is there any chance to have a bearing on the defensive mines at your own ports/bases? In particular to etstablish them on bases who doesn´t have any defensive mines at all (Lunga) and to increase their number on the already equipped ports (as Rabaul, for instance)

TIA

Just use your minelayers ( DM, ML, some SS ). Any mines that you put in a hex you control are defensive ones and any in an enemy hex or a neutral hex are offensive. There is ( a lot ) less chance of hitting defensive mines than an enemies offensive mines for what should be obviaous reasons.[;)]
Note that mines can only be loaded on to the mine-layers at Truk for the Japs & Noumea for the Allies.

If knowledge makes the master then the knowledge is gained from having suffered defeat after defeat in PBEM.  Take it from one who's still gathering knowledge.  [:(]

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.
